Natural Horse Care
Jason Mirise of Equine Organics offers barefoot trimming and other hoof care services based on the "wild horse" model. Jason is a Student Practitioner with Pacific Hoof Care Practitioners (www.pacifichoofcare.org ), and has been practicing natural hoof care since 2008.
We provide hoof care services for a limited number of horses to afford the time required by each individual animal/owner. Our clients are involved in many equine disciplines, including dressage, eventing, western pleasure, endurance, and pleasure trail riding. Although we enjoy every opportunity to work with active, healthy performance horses, one mission of Equine Organics is to support the rehabilitation of horses suffering from laminitis, founder, or other severe ailments associated with the foot.
In general, our hoof care services include the following:
Horseshoe removal and setup trimming
Natural barefoot trimming (wild horse model, Ramey)
including laminitis and founder cases (see www.hoofrehab.com/ )
Boot fitting and sales for performance and rehabilitation
We are dealers of EasyCare, Inc. and Renegade hoof boots
Glue-on boots and casting
Soaking for abscesses or thrush
Training and supervision for those wishing to provide maintenance trimming for their horses

Our trimming services start at $50 for maintenance trimming on horses with good ground manners. Our hourly rate for other services is $50. Please call for additional services and pricing. It is preferred that the horse's owner(s) or a qualified handler be present during hoof care services. We may be able to arrange for a handler in certain situations.
